Four Reasons to Consider a Condo in Downtown Anaheim

There has been a lot of building over the past several years that is inviting buyers to move to downtown Anaheim. The historic district (also sometimes referred to as the “packing district” or the “colony district”) has seen a tremendous amount of renovation and new construction.

So, number one in reasons to live here is that you can live in a new condo development! 

The Domain is one of the newest condo communities in the historic district of downtown Anaheim. This development features modern two-story townhomes and single-story condos that share a rooftop deck and resort-style pool. They’re also within walking distance to the ever-popular Unami Burger and the Anaheim Brewery.

Another newer condo community in the downtown area is the Harbor Lofts. These live/work homes have 9.6 ft ceilings and are located in the middle of the Center Street Promenade. Choose from one- to three-bedroom plans and walk to parks, the Farmers Market, Muzeo, and the Civic Center.

Businesses have responded to the increase in residents and are giving buyers three great reasons to stay in downtown Anaheim. If you don’t already live there, here are 3 more incentives to make the move:

  • The Anaheim Packing House – This is a fab renovation of an old citrus packing plant that just happens to be right across the street from The Domain. The developers have converted the 42,000 square feet of space into a foodie hall that features locally sourced items brought to you by culinary artisans. It’s a great social atmosphere where you can browse the vendor stalls and then borrow a picnic basket and blanket and eat on a green area. There are also picnic tables that encourage delightfully noisy conversation.
  • The Anaheim Brewery is another one of the newer additions to downtown Anaheim’s hip, social offerings. This brewery is located in the beautifully restored 1920’s era Mission Revival-style Packard Building (so named because it was originally built as a showroom for Packard cars). They share the space with Unami Burger. It’s a light, bright public place perfect for relaxing with a beer or a burger (or both).
  • Last but not least, downtown Anaheim hosts a fabulous Farmer’s Market right on the Center Street Promenade. For those lucky souls who live at the Harbor Lofts, visiting the market means walking across the street. The Anaheim Farmers Market is open every Sunday all year long with some special events thrown in on a seasonal basis.

Surrounded by historic homes, the downtown area of Anaheim is quaint and has a vibe that’s unique and distinct from the busier parts of Orange County. I live in Anaheim and love it…contact me for more reasons to here!
